Dr. Vanessa De la Barca

With true passion for her profession, Dr. Vanessa strives to provide a superior patient experience through exceptional care and attention. Although always prioritizing overall dental health and function, she firmly believes helping patients feel better about their teeth and smile is an objective worthy of the best in the field. Throughout her years of experience performing comprehensive general dentistry and cosmetic procedures, she has found that helping patients regain their confidence, feel good about their teeth and smile freely is just as important as resolving clinical issues. There’s a reason for the latin saying, Mens sana in corpore sano: Healthy Mind in a Healthy Body.

As a second generation dentist having been introduced to the field at a very young age, it was clear early on that this was her calling. Her journey from the “University of Medical Sciences of Cienfuegos” on to the “National Autonomous University of Honduras” and then the “Florida Institute of Advanced Dental Education” is a story of persistence, perseverance and work ethic. Always proactive and a top performer, she graduated with honors in 2017 and has since been very involved in continuing education.

Today, Dr. Vanessa is a Member of the Board of the Academy of General Dentistry and an active member of the American Dental Association as well as the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She is a Faculty member of The Florida Institute for Advanced Dental Education, where she is able to share her passion for Dentistry with the program’s residents. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
